加拿大和中国之间航空的主要承运者-air china（中国国际航空公司）和 air canada（加拿大航空公司）宣布把中加间的托运行李标准调整为每人每件23kg（50lb）。
 
据《北京晨报》，从06年1月3日开始到3月31日期间，凡是赴美国、加拿大的留学生坐国航飞机可多带一件免费行李，免费托运的行李数达到了三件。此前，国航只承诺普通舱旅客可免费托运两件行李，每件不超过23公斤。而新政策实施后，航空公司将可为留学生免费托运69公斤的物品。
