But neither could match the five-star research performance of Cambridge, Nottingham, Oxford and King's College London. Cambridge takes top place by virtue of the highest entry grades. Nearly 60 universities offer German, but the total number of students is now below 2,000, including certificate and diploma courses. Three quarters of students are female and nine out of ten enter with A levels or equivalent qualifications. |
