Only in Scotland and Wales does the normal system operate, and Cardiff benefits, with an excellent verdict for teaching quality. Oxford's near-perfect teaching score secures top place. Brighton and Central England are next best for teaching quality, but their research grades prevent them from challenging the table leaders. King's College London, has the opposite problem, as the only institution rated internationally outstanding for research but relegated to 16th place by Ofsted scores. |
