Wye College, London University's agricultural outpost in Kent, is included for the first time, breaking straight into the top six. The other new entrant is Central Lancashire, which took in an agricultural college at Newton Rigg, Cumbria. Only 16 universities offer courses in this field. Plymouth is the top-placed new university, thanks to a teaching assessment which is second only to Nottingham's. Edinburgh aside, entrance requirements are modest. |
